Hunter Jurica did not lose a head-to-head match this season, and if it is any sign of what is to come over the next three years for this freshman member of the DA Trojan Golf team, he is set to have a terrific high school career. Hunter made the starting line-up in the first few days of tryouts after spending his summer golfing as much as he could, including while on vacation. He loves the game, and it shows. With his work ethic and golf skills combined, no one was surprised when he came ready to play. He has the desire to continue to develop as a player, and he is a leader. He has earned his first varsity letter this season, and along with his teammates proved to be among the best in Section 2 AA this season. Hunter’s contributions in the 2019 season had a major impact on the teams ability to run the table during the second half of the season helping to lead the team to a record of 10-2 in Section 2 AA and earn a Co-Championship with rival Mt. Pleasant.
Hunter and his teammates will travel to a site TBD on Tuesday, October 8 for the WPIAL AA Semi-finals.
