Trojans News · Cymmerman Advances in PIAA Tournament, In Hunt for Third

Derry Area’s Tyler Cymmerman entered the PIAA Individual Wrestling Tournament knowing he faced a difficult task. With two former state champions in his bracket, Cymmerman needed to be at the top of his game.  Cymmerman came out firing in his first bout by pinning (5:03) Port Allegheny’s Braedon John.  In his next match, he ran into Dave Evans of Tunkhannock and fell 17-8.  Tyler rebounded quickly in the blood rounds by defeating Jacob Blair of Muncy (5-3, dec.).  Cymmerman continued his momentum into his next bout by defeating Gabe Grantly of Mifflinburg (2-1, dec.). Tyler is in the hunt for third place but must defeat Forest Hill’s Jackson Arrington, last year’s state champion (126).

Best of luck to Tyler, his family, and our coaches.  We are supporting you from home!
